Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

Summary of Job: The Financial Planning and Analysis department is responsible for providing management with information in order to make both strategic and operational decisions. The FP&A Analyst will serve as a resource for several departments, provide significant support to the budget process including maintenance and refinement of budget software and prepare financial reports for operations and ad hoc financial analysis as requested. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and administer the enterprise budget software

  • Assist in the coordination of the Enterprise’s annual budget process working with the Manager of FP&A and the Director of Finance

  • Maintain and prepare monthly management reporting packages

  • Perform profitability analysis as needed

  • Heavily involved in the rollout, ownership and maintenance of finance tools

  • Maintain finance KPIs for scorecard reports

  • Assist Mgr. of FP&A in developing and performing utilization analytics for state COOs

  • Identify and execute on process improvement opportunities

  • Assist Corporate Controller/Treasurer with risk insurance and treasury projects

  • Report and communicate with several levels of management

  • Assist in ad hoc analysis of the company’s financial performance, creating actionable information that results in identifying trends and opportunities for improvement




Job Qualifications:


  • 0-2 years’ experience in analyzing financial data in a financial analyst or accounting role

  • Healthcare industry experience preferred

  • Specific experience in financial analysis and budget team processes

  • Experience working with large databases creating report queries for analysis & reporting

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Very strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, lookups, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • Positive attitude and strong team orientation
  • Analytical and inquisitive mindset
